Tomorrow (well today but I’ve not been to sleep so…) we are playing a show with the stupendously good Three Trapped Tigers in Kingston, which should be fun! We are also in the process of booking a tour for December, got a couple of confirmed dates which are looking pretty rad. KYETTS got a lovely review in Rock Sound, who gave us 8/10, which is very nice of them. Other than that it’s all been a bit quiet, Uni/Work has taken over somewhat. SEE YOU SOON.
▲ | reblogI cant remember the first time i met Dave House. I think it was at The Ag in Camberley. His band was playing, and i was wearing a Girl hoody. Things which would make us clock each other..
Dave was very much a part of our Gravity DIP label. The label run from my bedroom with Mark Jane and…
man responsible for pretty much 2/3 of my musical taste leaves banquet, bummer times, best of luck him though!
▲29 | reblogThat tour diary idea was pretty much rubbish. No internet/poor memory does that. TWO MORE DATES TO GO.

In related news we’re playing the Fighting Cocks in Kingston tonight to celebrate the release with Orders of The British Empire, Cubrik and Suffer Like G Did. If you live anywhere near us you better be there!

Killington Fall are a Post-rock/Math-rock band from Kingston Upon Thames (as well as being Small Ideas President Max’s band, but we’ll shut up about that…) who are playing our first gig of the year at The Harley alongside Algiers, Drenge and Cult Image (details here). Chris Bollington…
I did an interview for Small Ideas. Hopefully it’s not super boring!
▲1 | reblogSo I thought given tonight marked the end of the first week of our tour in support of ‘Keep Your Eyes To The Sea’ I’d do a little tour diary thing here. That sound cool? BANGING.
So last Saturday we played Mattfest, which was pretty incredible. Saw some amazing bands and ate loads of burgers. George came down with us and took some pictures with his home made camera which is pretty rad. Chris (of Eek! fame) and Simon (of The Brilliantly Simple) were also in attendance. Chris and George had the inevitable fixie debate (I dunno who won…) but I think they made up. ANYWAY after that we rode out into the night to celebrate Jambo’s 21ST BLOODY BIRTHDAY. It was a pretty intense, rad day all round.
Sunday I don’t think I did anything of consequence, same for Monday except I went to the dentist. Not very interesting really is it?
Tuesday we played London with St. Spirit and Dead Red Sun. For those of you who haven’t heard St. Spirit before, they harmonize like demons and have some pretty crazy sounds on their sampler (pretty sure I heard baby gurgling noises…). Dead Red Sun did their usual rad thing, overall it was a pretty good night (aside from technical difficulties which are loooooong).
Wednesday I did bugger all, read my books and watched the first 3 episodes of Dexter. Don’t know what the others did, but I imagine it’s something along those lines too.
Thursday was The Square in Harlow, me and Cam were beaten to the venue (for once!) by Paddy and Jambo due to being caught in some pretty horrific traffic. Got there just in time to hear Thumpermonkey, who subsequently blew my tiny little mind, soundchecking, soundcheck ourselves and then go grab some food. Found out one glass of Coke has 30% of your GDA for sugar in it, which isn’t that interesting but gave us something to talk about. Returned just in time for Cure Cabello, who were pretty sick, think Jambo grabbed one of their CDs which I might steal from him soon. Think we played pretty well, although we were pretty overshadowed by Thumpermonkey who completely killed it. Loaded out and returned home completely exhausted but pretty happy.
Then we played in Alton, which was banging, got to use a massive 4x12 cab which was loud as. Will definitely be returning.
And finally Brighton tonight, which is pretty much always a fun place to go. Ate some amazing burgers at Grubs and again got to borrow some pretty massive speakers from some of the other bands which was pretty cool. Overall a pretty good to way to end the first week/the non-Kingston southern leg of the tour.
NOW FOR SOME IMPORTANT STUFF…
